Traveling by plane today has become more difficult. There are increasingly TSA rules being created and it’s a struggle to just board your plane. With all the new difficulties of travel, it’s easy to neglect your grooming routine.
With this article, we aim to provide you with some great tips to keep your grooming routine in shape while you’re on the go. Just because you’re traveling doesn’t mean you should let your hygiene fall behind.
Tip #1) Moisturize Before Boarding
Once you’re on the plane you may be seated next to someone or nearby people may have allergies to perfumes in different lotions. So instead of applying lotion during the flight make sure to do this before you board the plane.
It’s also going to be easier to apply your moisturizer beforehand since you’ll have more room to do so.
Tip #2) Pack Combination Products
Going for the shampoo and conditioner combo bottle will save you a little carry-on space and gives you fewer items to carry back and forth. Going for these sorts of options simplifies your traveling and I always recommend going for the combination bottles when possible.
Tip #3) Bring Your Own Stuff
Hotels are notorious for using the lowest quality products when it comes to shampoo, soaps, towels, and most everything else. It’s one way they can increase their bottom line and with the number of things people steal who can blame them?
The key things to bring for yourself are shampoo, body wash, hand soap, and maybe a towel if you have sensitive skin. It’s great that hotels offer these items for free but who really wants to smell like honeysuckle anyway?
Tip #4) Taking Sunscreen?
If you’re taking sunscreen on your trip, try and bring the wipe version. Bringing in liquid sunscreen is more troublesome when going through TSA searches. If you use SPF wipes, then there’s no issue with having to test anything or squeeze sunscreen into clear plastic bags.
You could also leave the sunscreen at home and buy some once you arrive at your destination.
Tip #5) Oral Hygiene
Leave your main dental products at home. Don’t bring your toothbrush or toothpaste. Instead, pick up a travel kit for dental hygiene. These usually come with a toothbrush that’s half the size and smaller toothpaste tubes.
The one thing they don’t usually come with is the whitening toothpaste. If you’re using that you may need to seek out your own travel size tube.
Tip #6) Shaving Products
Taking a safety razor on an airplane has become more difficult because of the razor blade itself. If you want to avoid the TSA hassle just to bring your shaving razor on the plane, you might want to opt for a travel size electric shaver.
You can find small electric foil shavers at affordable prices and it’ll save you a headache when boarding the plane.
Conclusion
Traveling is extremely fun when you’re doing it right. As a beginner, it can be easy to make mistakes that drag out unpleasant experiences like having the TSA search your bags. However, following the travel tips on HotelsEscape, you’ll be able to enjoy your travels.
